Shatner Does Palin

On last night's "Colbert Report," Stephen Colbert demonstrated Sarah Palin's speech-writing technique by pulling random pieces of paper out of a hat and reading them. Back on Late Night they'd have James Lipton read these kinds of things.

Hopefully Shatner will be on the show as much as Lipton used to be.

Yeah but was it really FUNNY?! I saw it and didn't hear anyone in the audience really laughing.

Made me smile, but it was more clever than funny. One of them "Nicely done, Conan *clap**clap*".

I found the James Lipton pieces fun on Late Night. I wonder why they "switched" to Shatner. Im not gonna be watching that show any time soon tho, so I dont really care.

The posted video doesnt play for me for some reason, so Ill have to take all of yalls word for how funny/unfunny it was.

I'm sure they switched from Lipton to Shatner because Lipton is based in N.Y., Shatner in L.A.
