Carson Daly gets a ninth season
Fans of "Last Call with Carson Daly" -- we know there must be some of you out there! -- rejoice: Broadcasting & Cable is reporting that Daly's 1:35 AM show has been renewed for the 2009-10 season.
Says Carson Daly:
"I really feel grateful. Being able to continue my show with NBC for its 9th season is just incredible. I'm also excited to showcase our unique format. With the new late night lineup coming to NBC, we're a great fit, but also very distinct -- and I hope refreshing -- to viewers up that late."
About 1.2 million viewers watch the show, according to TV By the Numbers. Tonight's episode is scheduled to feature No Doubt, Adam Carolla, and Friendly Fires.

Great news for Carson's fan. No, that wasn't a typo.
I don't get the hate. I like the new format also, especially as an LA native because I recognize all the places he's been filming. So yeah I'm the one fan then.
